Adele has been a famous music artist for many years. Adele is 33 years old and has a long journey ahead of her. The new release called “Easy on Me” by Adele has a deep meaning to it. She recently went through a divorce with her ex-husband Simon Koneki. “You can’t deny how hard I’ve been trying,” Adele sings in her new song. These lyrics are directly about her divorce. On Oprah Winfrey’s talk show, Adele explained how she got through the hardships of her divorce. “I stopped drinking,” Adele stated. Adele talks about how drinking is what killed her father and she did not want the same to happen to her.  

   Another thing that the singer touched on was her recent weight loss. Over the course of the last two years, Adele lost 100 pounds.

   She wrote all these songs through the heartbreak of her own. Adele talks about her journey on Oprah’s talk show, she explains how she lifted weights and did circuit training. She calls this a “turbulent” period of her life. 

   She started writing songs for her most recent album at the end of 2019 and finished at the end of 2020.

   Adele was not ready for her fans and followers to know she was getting a divorce, but through the rumors and gossip people found out. The last thing she wanted was for people to think she gave up on her marriage, therefore she wrote an album to express her true feelings about it. Adele wanted to produce these songs as a way to tell her son why she and Simon divorced. “There ain’t room for things to change, when we are both so deeply stuck in our ways.” These lyrics express how her ex-husband and her were deeply committed to their own work over their personal lives. It shows how they could not meet in the middle; they just needed to be on their own. Adele’s album “30” will come out on November 30th, 2021.
