Broughton Varsity Softball has been a place for positive energy and encouragement for each member of the team. In nearly every game, the team spotlights a fellow player for a range of accomplishments. Whether it be for good sportsmanship or impeccable playing, they never fail to lift each other up. A quote from sophomore Harper Smith, “One thing the team works well at is getting along no matter how good or bad we are playing, and are able to make jokes with each other all the time, even with our coach.”The 2023 varsity softball season went 3-16 overall and 3-5 during conference play. There is one junior, eight sophomores, and five freshmen. There aren’t any seniors on the team, so with a younger team, there’s room to grow throughout their time at Broughton. What a great season full of perseverance and hard work!
